總烴,指所有的碳?xì)浠衔锛捌溲苌?,對環(huán)境空氣造成污染的主要是常溫下為氣態(tài)及液態(tài)但具有較大揮發(fā)性的部分。非甲烷總烴通常是指除甲烷以外的所有可揮發(fā)的碳?xì)浠衔锛捌溲苌?其中主要是c2?c8)。在實(shí)驗(yàn)條件下,用氫火焰離子化檢測器(fid)所測得的氣態(tài)碳?xì)浠衔锛捌潆s原子取代化合物的總量,減去甲烷部分的含量,即為非甲烷總烴。非甲烷總烴濃度高,一般說明空氣或者廢氣中有機(jī)污染物含量高,除直接對人體健康有害外,在一定條件下大氣中的烴類與氮氧化物經(jīng)日光照射產(chǎn)生一系列光化學(xué)反應(yīng)而形成光化學(xué)煙霧,對環(huán)境和人類都造成進(jìn)一步危害。因此大氣污染物綜合排放標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中明確規(guī)定了非甲烷總烴的高允許排放濃度、高允許排放速率和無組織排放限值。
非甲烷總烴測定的公認(rèn)方法是分別測定總烴和甲烷含量,然后兩者相減得到非甲烷總烴含量。對于總烴測定,通常將樣品氣以固定流速連續(xù)流入fid檢測器,或利用載氣(零氣)將固定體積的樣品氣帶入fid檢測器,這是總烴測定的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)方法。
